Other than a scheduling snafu that resulted in a multi-hour delay, everything went smoothly. Linda is already back at Metro Ave., a little groggy and feverish but ok. She will continue to pass these zillion pieces of former evil kidney stones for the next week. One follow-up stent removal appointment and then she should be in the clear.
I will now be referring to her as "40961," her patient number today. They call you by this number and give you a big piece of paper with the number on it to identify yourself. It's just like being in the Big House, except luckily she didn't have to spend the night in the hole. Upon closer examination of the paper, it was determined that the writer of "40961" was both very angry (due to many hooks in the writing) and also thought very highly of him/herself (due to "elongated and disproportionate number formation"). Made sense to me.

In other news, she got a "just in case" prescription for Percoset, but she doesn't want it. Any takers?
hook a brotha UP!!!
