Around 5am this morning, Tiger woke Linda up barking (him, not her), and it turned out that she was having chest pain around her heart and going up into her neck. She got up and moved around a bit, but when it didn't go away, she had Sharon Hospital come get her and take her to their ER. Her blood pressure was high, and while the first (enzyme) test didn't indicate a heart-attack, they gave her nitroglycerin, and then later some Tylenol for the headache the nitro causes, followed by some blood thinner. She's there now.
I just got up here, let out the dogs, and went over to the hospital. She's stable, the pain's gone, but her blood pressure is still a bit high. She, of course, would like to leave immediately, but they are keeping her for the moment. They are going to run a second enzyme test and EKG this afternoon, and then we are going to consult with the doctor. They may want to keep her longer for more observation and tests, or if the tests are negative, they may decide to release her to follow up with her own doctors in town. I'm also going to put in a call to Dr. Keil to see if she can liaise with the hospital doc, Legris.
Will keep you posted. I'm back at the Amenia house now with all 4 pups, but I'm headed back to the ER around 2.30 for the test and consult. Over & out.
