Quick update from post-surgery: some time around 5, Linda had the stent placed that will allow all the infectedness to drain. As of 9:30 she was still fever-free and feeling okay, if not famished and wanting for Lifesavers, even though the DR across the street only had sugar-free. If all continues as is, she'll be able to go home tomorrow morning.
